I was born in upstate New York but moved to Arizona when I was young and lived there until I was 30. I went to school in Northern Arizona, getting a degree in Psychology and Social Work. After undergrad, I stayed in my college town, working at my first Montessori school. This is where Montessori found me; I knew this work was my calling. I pursued my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Then, I went to the Montessori Institute of San Diego, where I became a certified Montessori Infant-Toddler Guide to serve children from birth to 3 years old.  

I have worked in Montessori settings for over 11 years, working my way from Assistant Guide to Lead Guide in both an infant classroom and toddler classroom. My most recent endeavors have been in Montessori administrative work as co-director and education director. Moving into administration allowed me to find a further passion of mine: working more closely with families and supporting Montessori Guides. I love bringing Montessori to as many families as possible, helping build partnerships between Guides and parents, and building an encouraging and supportive community.

I moved back to New York in 2021 and am happy to be home! My family has a home on a lake in upstate New York, so I spend much of my free time there. I love hiking, fishing, and being active in the water. I am new to Catskill, so I look forward to exploring all the wonderful things about this area. I am so thrilled to join Catskill Montessori School and the Catskill community!
