Art Guide

I’ve always lived in the Hudson Valley, and as I’ve grown older, I appreciate the beauty that surrounds us here more and more. I went to school in Albany, where I received my BFA and switched majors to almost every creative process possible. My passion for art first developed in my high school photography dark room. It has since grown into a passion for more natural arts and homemaking crafts.

I first started exploring alternative education when my second child was born. I knew somehow that his journey and mine would lead down another path. I fell in love with the world of Waldorf and went on to receive my teacher’s certificate. Like Waldorf, I appreciate how Montessori education puts the child at the heart. The children here at CMS captivate me with their empathy, consciousness, and gratitude for one another.

I have many interests and, at any given moment, most likely have several different projects going on at once. I enjoy home improvement projects, homesteading and gardening, hiking, reading, handwork, yoga, and diving into new areas of interest. I share my home with two beautiful children, a one-eyed cat, two bunnies, chickens, and a duck.
